Machine overview

The JCB 3CX is a backhoe loader, sometimes called a two-ended machine: the front loader handles material and the rear excavator performs digging. The supplied configuration describes a 4WD machine with a 4-speed powershift transmission, dual hydraulic pumps, a 1.0–1.1 m³ loader bucket and standard or telescopic rear-dipper options. The machine photographs show JCB branding and 3CX boom markings.

Parameter values below follow the provided configuration sheet and include alternative variants where stated. Verify the individual machine against its serial plate and inspection record; attachments and specification can vary by year and market.

PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION

Check both working ends and the drivetrain

  • Cold-start the engine; inspect blow-by, smoke, oil pressure, coolant and leaks.
  • Test powershift operation in all forward and reverse gears, torque converter response and 4WD engagement.
  • Operate loader lift, tilt, bucket and rear excavator through full travel; check hydraulic pressure, drift and cylinder seals.
  • Inspect boom, dipper, pins, bushes, stabilizers, chassis welds and attachment locking points for cracks or excessive play.
  • Verify tyres, brakes, steering, lights, cab safety equipment, hour meter and serial plate against the inspection report.
BUYER-SIDE SOURCING

Match the machine to your site

Before choosing a JCB 3CX configuration, define trench depth, loading height, ground conditions, travel distance, attachment needs, operator skill and local emissions rules. CRTA can help compare the listed configuration with other factory offers, request serial-number-linked inspection evidence and coordinate independent inspection, insurance and shipping services.
