Evidence-led supplier review

Factory Review Framework

A review should show what was checked, when it was checked, which evidence supports the result and what remains unverified. This framework helps buyers assess fit for a specific order; it is not a government certification or a guarantee of future performance.

01 / IDENTITY

Business identity

Verify the registered business name, address, licence and contact consistency. Record whether the supplier is the manufacturer, refurbisher, seller or export partner.

02 / FACILITY

Workshop and people

Review dated site photos or a live walkthrough, relevant equipment, trained staff, work in progress and the capacity available for the requested truck type.

03 / PROCESS

Refurbishment process

Ask for a model-specific workflow, sample job card, parts sourcing records and disclosure of outsourced operations. Compare the written process with the work shown on site.

04 / QUALITY

Inspection and quality control

Check the inspection checklist, truck identity traceability, test equipment, road-test record, defect correction process and signed report. Mark every unchecked item clearly.

05 / ORDER

Stock, price and delivery

Request current vehicle-specific evidence, control or ownership information, price validity, lead time and redacted shipment references. Confirm the offer matches the exact order.

06 / AFTER-SALES

Warranty and parts support

Review warranty coverage, exclusions, claim steps, response times, parts availability and service reach in the buyer's market. Put responsibilities in the contract.

How buyers can read a review

Separate verified facts from supplier statements. Match each document and photo to the legal entity, workshop, truck or order it describes. Check dates and scope, ask about gaps, and request an independent inspection of the actual vehicle before shipment where appropriate.

Status labels

Use clear labels such as Verified with document, Observed by live video, Supplier stated, Not checked and Expired. Record who performed each check and the date. A factory profile should never imply that one site visit verifies every truck or guarantees delivery.

Apply it to your order

The right supplier depends on the truck type, refurbishment scope, destination rules, delivery schedule and after-sales needs. Compare evidence against those requirements and put responsibilities, fees, inspection acceptance and remedies in the contracts.
